Low in fat , and high in fiber , and you get to eat 2 cups !! Low in fat , and high in fiber , and you get to eat 2 cups !!

    1 bag of dried split peas
    1 package of turkey bacon ( I used Kutztown )
    1 medium onion
    2 cups of diced celery
    2 cups chopped carrots
    1.5 Gallons water
    garlic powder ( to taste)
    cayenne pepper powder ( to taste )
    celery seed ( to taste )


put water into a large stock pot
put all ingredients in
boil for 90 minutes or until peas are tender .
makes 10 , 2 cup servings .
