Single Serving Mixed Fruit/Yogurt Smoothie

Editor's note: Use your favorite milk or yogurt in this recipe. Use ice cubes instead of water for a frozen treat.

Most of the smoothie recipes I've seen are for 3-6 servings. This is a good smoothie for just 1 person. It can be made with a stick blender instead of getting the big one dirty for just one drink!Submitted by: ROKERSHNER

Vegetable and Fruit Stuffing

Whole wheat bread gives this side staying power. The fruits and vegetables bulk up the dish, so a little goes a long way. A bit of turkey bacon adds another layer of flavor without adding many calories. Submitted by: CHEF_MEG

All Natural Fruit and Nut Granola Bars

Although these contain approximately 200 calories each, they are an all natural granola bar, rich in omega-3 fatty acid with 4 grams of fiber and 4 grams of protein. To save on some calories, you can make this without the ground flaxseed meal and almonds to make each bar approximately 150-160 calories each. If you don't have the dried fruit and nut mixutre, you can just use any kind of dried fruit - raisins, craisins, prunes (chopped), mangoes (chopped), papaya... you get the ideaSubmitted by: DODGEEWE

Your Favorite Fruit Smoothie

My hubby isn't a breakfast guy, but he will gladly consume a smoothie every morning. The secret is the frozen banana! Otherwise, I mix it up every day and simply follow the basic formula of one cup fresh fruit + 1/2 c. frozen fruit and 1/2 frozen banana + 1/2 c. liquid. The liquid can be fruit juice or milk or even yogurt. When that bunch of bananas on your counter is starting to look sad, peel 'em, break in half and stick in the freezer so the secret ingredient is always on hand!Submitted by: DOODLELOVE

The semi soft version of the farmer's cheese works wonders for this recipes and can be easily find in all grocery stores. For this recipe you will need an 8inch/20cm non stick skillet or omelet pan. You can serve them warm or at room temperature. If you want them warm, keep the over preheated at less then 200F.Submitted by: MARIUSCOSMOS
