Hunger affects 50 million Americans—and 1 in 5 children don't know where their next meal is coming from. That's why we're offering up $10,000 for the best slow cooker recipe in America. The prize money will be split between the recipe creator and a nonprofit fighting hunger in the winner's community. You get to help decide who wins the contest by voting for your favorite recipe.
Voting runs between midnight EST October 21 and noon EST on November 18. During this time you can vote for your favorite recipe on-page or by sharing that recipe with your friends and family on social networks. On November 18, we'll announce 15 finalists, who will advance to the final judging round. You can only vote once per day, so choose carefully.
If you're a SparkRecipes or SparkPeople member, just click on the link at the bottom of this page. You'll see all the recipes that have been submitted to our contest. Find your favorite and vote for it using the blue button at the top right-hand portion of the page.
If you're not a SparkRecipes member, you can either join in under a minute, or you too can click the link below and see our slow cooker recipes. When you click on the voting button, you'll have to enter your email address and a captcha, so that we know you're a real person.
