Apple Crisp

Ingredients
Apples, fresh, 6 medium (2-3/4" dia) (approx 3 per l #)Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp Nutmeg, ground, 0.25 tsp Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp Butter, salted, 0.50 cup *Flour, white, 1 cup Brown Sugar, 1 cup, packed
Directions
Slice apples in an 8x8 or 9x6 baking dish, sprinkle 1/2 cup water over apples. Then sprinkle evenly, vanilla, cinnamon & nutmeg over apples. In a medium size bowl with pastry blender, blend together softened butter, brown sugar & flour until brown sugar & flour are wet & mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over the apples. Bake uncovered 350 degrees for one hour. Once cooled, store in fridge with foil or plastic cover. Use within 3-4 days. Add a dolp of whipped cream for a totally decadent dessert.
