Ingredients
Directions
4 cups Split Peas, 2 Carrots, raw, 2 2 Potatoes, raw, 1 Onion, *Pork, cured, ham, steak, boneless, extra lean, unheated, 2 oz (remove)Chicken Broth, 64 fl oz (remove)water
Cook peas and chicken broth in a stock pot on low flame.
Peel the vegetables, chop them small and add them to the pot. Add 2 cups of water. Bring to low boil and reduce heat. Stir often. Cook for 90 min adding water as it is absorbed. Texture is thick, but somewhat lumpy depending the size the veggies were cut. At this point you can either blend it in a blender/food processor for a smooth, uniform texture, or leave it hearty. Add the ham and cook for another 30 minutes. Enjoy!
