Ingredients
Directions
1 tsp Garlic powder 1 tbsp Pepper, black 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Italian seasoning 1 lb Pork, fresh, loin, top loin (chops), boneless, separable lean and fat, raw 2 Yellow onions sliced thin1 can (303 x 406) Peas, canned drained2 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) Potato, raw sliced1 can Canned Tomatoes 0.52 cup Tomato Sauc
Liberally salt and pepper pork chops, with any additional seasoning, and place in baking pan. slice onions less than a 1/4 inch thick. totally smother pork chops with onions. Place sliced potatoes on top of onions, covering them. Pour canned tomatoes onto potatoes along with sauce. Cover with aluminum foil, and bake at 350. Pork chops are done when they reach 160 degrees. My mom always said the pork chops were done when the potatoes were done....Pour drained canned of peas on top and replace aluminum foil. Cook an additonal ten minutes. I have often thought that adding zuchini, mushrooms, or other veggies would work well with this.

Very good taste, I substituted fresh frozen green beans for the peas and put the beans under the tomatoes and sauce. - 3/16/08

I usually add garlic, Italian seasoning, and whatever else strikes me. I am making it today with only 1 potato. I am adding a diced bell pepper, I need to use before it goes bad. Recipe is easily adaptable to changes. Why no stars?

Next time I make this I will add some garlic, basil & oregano to give it a little more zing. Otherwise a good recipe! - 10/29/07

I always add Italian seasoning, and Garlic when making. At the time I posted this it wouldn't take Italian seasoning as an ingredient. I fixed it now.

Your ingredients list doens't match what you have in the recipe, so the nutritional info is off. I think it's the pork, the recipe calculates it with only 4 ounces. Just an FYI...would love if you'd update it! :) - 11/15/08

I have tried to update it to include Garlic, Italian Seasoning, or any seasoning, and I haven't been able to add, or change anything.

That is so funny. I remember asking my Mom how long till dinners ready. It didn't matter what she was cooking in the oven. She seemed to always say 4 hours........lol
