Baked Apple French Toast

Ingredients
Cut the French bread into 1 1/2" slices. Arrange in the bottom of a 9" x 13" glass pan. Beat 2 cups egg beaters, 3 cups milk, 1/4 cup sugar, and I T vanilla. Pour half of the mixture over the bread. Peel and core 5 Granny Smith apples. Slice apples and place over bread. Pour remaining batter over the apples. Mix 1/4 cup sugar with 2 t. cinnamon. Sprinkle over the apples. Dot with 2T butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes. If prepared the night before, bake 50-55 minutes at 400 degrees.
