Gluten free Vegan brown gravy

Ingredients
1 tsp olive oil1 medium onion, peeled and diced3 tbsp gf tamari1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch1/2 tsp sea salt1/4 tsp black pepper2 cups water
Directions
Heat oil in small saucepan, add onions, and saute with a lid, until onions are soft, add 1 1/2 cup water and heat slowly, in a small jug mix the cornstarch with the water, add to the pot along with the tamari, cook slowly bring to near boiling, turn down to low, season with salt and pepper, taste and adjust seasonings, serve hot.
