Paleo Cream of Broccoli Soup with chicken and bacon

1.5 qts of homemade chicken stock1 medium onion, chopped9 cups of broccoli, chopped3-4 cups leftover chicken meat from roasting chicken, chopped1 tbsp coconut oilkale, trimmed of stems2 cans coconut milk2 tsp salt1 tsp black pepper1 tbs basil1 tbs garlic powder4 slices thick cut bacon, cooked crispy to crumble on top
Chop broccoli into florets and steam until soft. While that is steaming, sautee chopped onion in coconut oil until golden.
Puree broccoli in food processor and add to chicken stock, coconut milk, kale, onion, and spices. Bring to a simmer. Add chicken pieces, simmer for 30 minutes to incorporate flavors.
Crumble bacon on top before serving
