Ham & Bean Soup

Ingredients
1- 16 oz pkg dry navy beans, rinsed6 slices of turkey ham, diced8 C water2 bay leaves1/4 C chopped onion2 chopped carrots1/2 salt1 tsp pepper
Directions
Combine ham, beans, water, bay leaves, and onion into a large soup pot or dutch oven. Bring to a boil and then decrease heat and simmer for 2-3 hours until beans are soft. Add carrots after checking beans and cook for an additional 30-45 minutes.

Makes 12 servings, approx. 1 1/2 Cups each
