Prepare rice per package instructions. Put dry beans in a pressure cooker in the morning to soak. When ready to cook, pour off the water, add hot water to cover beans, onion and seasonings. Do not add salt, it will make the outer part of the bean hard. Set pressure cooker for 30 minutes and cook away. This can be done in a slow cooker also.
