Peppey Chicken

Ingredients
Chicken drumstick, skinned and scored, 1lbChicken breast, skinned & cut in 2" cubes, 1 lbOnions, chopped, 1 cupGarlic cloves, chopped, 5Ginger root, chopped, 1tspSerrano peppers, sliced in half, 2Canola oil, 3 tbspSalt, 1tbsp or to tastePepper powder, Black, 1tbspTumeric, 1 tspCilantro, chopped 1tbsp
Directions
Makes 8 servings
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add the onions. Fry onions till they turn brown and then add serrano peppers. Fry the peppers for a minute, add chopped ginger and garlic. Fry this for another minute. Now add the turmeric, stir and add the chicken pieces. Mix and fry the chicken , stirring continuously, for 5-10 minutes, until the chicken is no longer raw. Sprinkle salt and pepper powder, mix well and add 1/2 cups water. Bring to a boil, cover and cook for 10minutes. Uncover , mix and cook for another 5 minutes until most of the water evaporates. Spinkle with chopped cilantro and serve with rice or paratha
