Ingredients
Directions
Ingredients:Precooked White Corn Flour (Harina Precocida de Maiz Blanco o Harina Pan), 1 cup Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz) Salt, 0.5 tsp *Corn Oil, 1 1tsp
Put one cup of corn flour in a bowl, add little by little one cup of warm water, then add salt. Make a soft dough. Let the dough stand for 3 minutes, to obtain softer arepas. Add three more tablespoons of water if needed and knead. Once you have the dough, shape the arepas (make a ball with the dough and squeeze with both palms of your hands, and make them round). Then cook them on a lightly greased griddle until crusty on both sides.
