Lentil Barley Soup

2 Tbs Olive Oil1 C Onion chopped3 carrots chopped3/4 tsp marjoram3/4 tsp thyme7 C chicken broth1 C lentils1 C barley1/2 C split peas1/2 tsp salt (optional)1/4 tsp pepper2 Tbs dried parsley
Saute onion, carrots, marjoram & thyme until soft. Combine in large pot with chicken broth, lentils, barley and split peas. Cover and simmer 50 min. Add salt, pepper and parsley and simmer another 10 minutes.
