Spanish Rice

2 cups long grain rice (we like Jasmine)1 (8oz) can tomato sauce1 (16oz)can chicken broth1 3/4 cup water2 tsp garlic powder1/2 tsp garlic salt3 Tbsp olive oil
In a sauce pan put the tomato sauce, chicken broth, water, and 1/2 tsp garlic salt.
Put rice and garlic powder in a bowl and stir to coat rice. In a frying pan place 1 Tbsp oil and heat to between medium /medium high heat. Put 1/3 of rice mixture in oil and stir to coat with oil. Let heat until grains are white. Transfer to sauce pan. Repeat two more times with oil and rice mixture.
When done, bring sauce pan to boil and reduce heat to low and cover with lid. Cook for 20 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
*Note if using chicken bullion reduce salt in recipe. If your can of chicken broth is 14.5 just add water to make 2 cups.
Makes about 8 1 cup servings.
