Tea Biscuits

- 1 cup all purpose flour (unbleached)- 2 tsp baking powder- 1/2 tsp salt- 1/3 cup of unsweetened applesauce- 1/4 cup skim milk or milk substitute*OPTIONAL*- 1/3 cup of Splenda (more or less to taste) - blend of spices (cinnamon, pumpkin spice, ginger, whichever you want).- nuts, flaxseeds, and fruit can also be added.
Preheat the oven the 400 degrees F.
In a bowl, blend the flour, applesauce, milk, salt, baking powder, and spices. stir out the lumps until it is a nice but thick texture.
grease a pan.
scoop out the biscuits and spread evenly along the pan.
Cook for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Let them cool and enjoy! Pairs nicely with coffee or tea.
