Brussels sprouts with pecans and caramelized onions

1 pound Brussels sprouts, shredded1 large onion, sliced1 cup pecan piecescooking oilsalt and pepper to taste
To shred Brussels sprouts: cut each sprout in half, then slice like you would an onion. This makes it easier to cook all the way through.
Heat some cooking oil and toast pecans by saut�ing them on medium heat for 5 minutes. They should become somewhat fragrant. Set aside.
In the same pan, caramelize the onions (10-15 minutess). Then add the shredded sprouts and saut� for 5 minutes. Finally, add back the toasted pecans, add salt and pepper, and you're ready to serve!
