low fat white sauce/cheese sauce for vegetables

Ingredients
1 T white, all-purpose flour 1/4 cup kraft fat free chedder cheese.25 tsp Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard, 1 cup Milk nonfat
Directions
heat 3/4 c of skim milk until steaming. in a small bowl, whisk together 1 T of all purpose flour with 1/4 cup of cold milk. stirl the flour mixture into the hot milk and cook whisking constantly, until thick...2-3 minutes. once thickened, add 1/4 c of any cheese and a bit of dijon mustard to make a cheesy sauce, or add herbs and spices such as snipped chives and a pinch of nutmeg to make a more traditional white sauce. use with any cooked vegetables you like. makes about 1 1/4 cup sauce.
