Ingredients
Directions
1 lb venison ...or use Walmart hamburger [97/3]2- 1 lb bags of red kidney beans1- 15 oz can of crushed tomatoes1 large onion1/2 T. Chili powder [or to your own taste] 1/2 T. Salt [or to taste]
I soak the beans over night in cold water; rinse them off, recover them with water [so the water is 2 to 3 inches above the beans] before cooking them on low heat. I place a wire on the burner so they don't scorch. (A bent hanger will work.)
After the beans are tender I add an onion & chili powder.
In another pan I brown my burger and add that when I add the onion.
Salt is next and it's to taste.
Another trick I've learned is: add a potato to absorb the gas from the beans & yes, it works!!!.
