Ingredients
Directions
1 can Bush's Large Butter Beans drained and rinsed1 small onion1/4 cup italian style bread crumbsjalapeno peppers amount varies by how spicy you want it1 large egg beaten.
Drain and rinse the butter beans and put them in a bowl, using a fork or potato masher smash up the beans. Dice the onion and jalapeno and beat the egg add those items and the bread crumbs to the bowl and mix thoroughly. I usually put no salt-salt, pepper, a little garlic powder. Play around with the spices untill you find ones that work for you.
Heat up the pan while you're shaping the patties, I normally get 3 out of this recipe, sometimes 4. I made the nutritional info for 3 burgers.
I cook my burgers on the stove on medium high heat with cooking spray. If you're not worried about the calories from oil you can use about 1/4 of an inch of oil in the pan to 'fry' the patties.
Cook them about 4-5 minutes on each side. You want to make sure these are cooked all the way through since they do have egg in them.
