Popcorn Tofu

Ingredients
1 package nasoya super firm cubed tofu1 T nutritional yeast1 T whole wheat flour2 t salt1 t garlic powder1/4 t black pepperseveral dashes Frank's Red Hot Sauce1 egg1/5 C Kikkoman panko bread crumbs1 T canola oil
Directions
preheat oven to 400

squeeze excess moisture from tofu, then press tofu between dishtowels to remove more moisture

Bake tofu until slightly browned and dry, stirring occasionally

Mix nutritional yeast, flour, salt, garlic powder and pepper and coat tofu with mixture

mix egg with several dashed Franks red hot sauce in, then coat tofu in egg mixture.

Place panko breadcrumbs in bowl. Toss in tofu to coat.

Fry in oil until brown and crispy.

Makes three very delicious servings.
