Nessa's Red Lentil Soup

Ingredients
2 onions3 carrots2.5 cups of red lentils2 small potatoes3 TBS olive oil1 bayleaf100 grams of tomato paste2 liters of watersalt and pepper to taste
Directions
Fry the onions and the garlic in the oil until softened, but not browned.
Wash your lentils well and add them, the carrots and the tomato paste together. Stir for 2 minutes.
Add the water, potatoes, bay leaf, paprika, salt and pepper.

Bring to a boil, then let simmer on low heat for 45 minutes, or until the potatoes are ready. Stir occasionally.
You know the lentils are ready when they stop sinking to the bottom when you stir.

1 serving = 2 cups
