Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1/4 cup butter softened1/4 cup shortening1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed1/2 cup granulated sugar1 large egg1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1 cup plus two tablespoons all purpose flour1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon baking soda1 cup Hersheys Dark Chocolate Chips
Directions
Preheat Oven to 350 F
In a large mixing bowl stir together butter, shortening, brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla and beat for one minute. In a medium mixing bowl add flour (1 cup and 2 tbsp), salt, and baking soda. Slowly combine with the creamed mixture then beat for one more minute. Stir in Hersheys Dark Chocolate Chips.
Drop batter by teaspoon full onto ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inchs apart. Bake until cookies are golden brown then let them cool on a wire rack.

    Good flavor nice crispy texture just the way I like them. Part of the batch I added dried cranberries. Another part I added the cranberries as well as toasted pecans. SO GOOD, even without the cranberries and pecans!!
