HAM AND LIMAS

Ingredients
16oz bag dried Large Lima beans2 Medium onions3 tsps garlic, chopped or mincedHam Steak, cubed1 1/2 C sliced Baby carrots1/4 C Brown Sugar2 Tbs Olive OilSalt and Pepper
Directions
Rinse Beans and place in crock pot with plenty or water.
Cook on high for 4 hours. Heat 2 Tbls of Olive oil in a large sautee pan and add two chopped onions 3Tbls Garlic to carmelize. When onion and garlic are all brown with just a few crispy places, add the cubed ham steak. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup brown sugar, stir and heat through. About 2 minutes.
To the Crock pot stir in salt and pepper, add sliced or chopped carrots, and the ham, onion mixture. Simmer together on high for another hour.
This goes great with a light yeast bread or Kings Hawian sweet rolls.
