Bob's Vanishing Quaker Oats' Cookies

1/2 C or 1 stick butter + 6 Tbsp softened3/4 C Brown Sugar, firmly packed1/2 C Granulated sugar2 Eggs1 tsp Vanilla1.50 C All Purpose Flour1 tsp Baking Soda1 tsp Ground Cinnamon1/2 tsp Salt (Optional)3 C Quaker (quick or old fashioned uncooked oats1 C Raisins and 1 C chopped walnuts
1. Heat oven to 350. In large bowl, beat butter and sugars on medium speed of electric mixer until creamy.
2. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
3. Add combined flour, baking soda,cinnamon, and salt.
Mix well.
4. Add oats, raisins, and walnuts. Mix well.
5. Drop dough by rounded Tablespoons onto ungreased
cookie sheets.
6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool
1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack and cool
completely. Store in tightly covered container.
