10 oz Extra Lean Ground Turkey1/2 cup Pizza Sauce, divided3/4 tsp Mrs.Dash Italian Seasoning3/4 cup Fresh Mushrooms, diced1/2 cup Onion, diced1/3 cup Reduced Fat Shredded Mozzarella cheese8 slices Turkey Pepperoni2 Village Hearth Light Wheat Hamburger buns2 tbsp Fat Free Margarine Spread1/2 tsp Garlic Powder, divided
Preheat oven to 350d
Place a wire rack on a baking sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray (or line the baking sheet with foil to make for very easy cleanup)
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, half of the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, diced Mushrooms, diced onions, and half of the shredded cheese.
Divide the meat mixture into 2 equal portions and form into patties.
Place patties on wire rack and bake for 15 minutes. Turn patties over and bake for 15 more minutes.
Remove from oven and top each patty with 2 TBSP pizza sauce, 4 slices turkey pepperoni, and shredded cheese.
Return to oven and cook 3-5 more minutes or until cheese melts.
Meanwhile, split buns and place on a baking sheet. Spread margarine over buns and sprinkle with garlic powder.
Place in oven for a few minutes until just heated and toasted and serve burgers on buns.
