Scalloped Potatos

3 tablespoons acceptable margarine2 tablespoons flour2 cups skim milk1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper1/8 teaspoon onion powder (optional)1/8 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)vegetable oil spray5 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced1/2 cup sliced onions
Serves 5
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Melt margarine in a small saucepan. Add flour and mix. Gradually add milk while stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thick. Add pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. Stir and remove from heat.
Lightly spray or wipe vegetable oil around a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish to prevent sticking (optional).
Place potatoes and sliced onion in bottom of casserole. Add sauce and stir lightly.
Cover and bake 30 minutes.
Stir gently and bake uncovered an additional 30 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and lightly browned. Serve hot.
Serve with salad and apple sauce.
