Chicken 'n Chickpeas

Ingredients
1 tbsp Olive Oil1 med. onion, chopped2 stalks celery, chopped10 chicken thighs, skin removed1 can chick peas, drained1 can tomatoes, diced1/2 a sweet red or orange pepper1 cup waterBasilgarlic saltpaprika
Directions
Gently saute onions and celery in oil until softened. Add water, chicken, basil & garlic salt to taste. Cook for 20 minutes, then add remaining ingredients and simmer until chicken is tender.

This is great to cook in a crock-pot on low!

    Didn't like this recipe at all. The taste of the canned tomatoes over powered everything else. It might have been OK if I would have used canned stewed tomatoes but as it was I ended up adding a whole bunch of chili powder and BBQ sauce just to make it edible. - 1/14/09
