Ingredients
Directions
WaterEnough loose tea for one large infuser, or 3-4 teabags (I prefer decaf Darjeeling)Spices: small cinnamon stick, contents of 5-6 cardamom pods OR about 20 of the little brown seeds(either is better than ground), 2 clovesSugar: 3 Tbsp1 C soymilk
I'll begin the instructions the way my dear friend, who introduced me to this tea long before you could get chai in every corner coffee shop, said he did it: Meditate on the people for whom you are making the tea, and hold them in love and goodwill.
Put the tea (in a teaball/infuser), spices, and sugar in the water, bring to a boil. Once the tea is dark, add the soymilk and bring back to a boil (but watch out now, as it will foam up and boil over easily).
Serving Size: Makes almost 9 1-cup servings
Number of Servings: 8.75
