One 14 oz. can of chickpeas, drained, rinsed and peeled1/4 c. reserved liquid from chickpeas1-2 jalapeños, seeded and cored2 T. fresh lemon juice2 T sesame seeds1/2 T olive oil2 t. garlic, mincedsalt to taste1/2 c. cilantro
Directions
The most tedious task of this hummus is peeling the chickpeas. It makes the hummus so much creamier, it’s worth it.
Cut the jalapeños into small chunks and add to a blender or food processor along with the remaining ingredients.
Blend or process on high until hummus is smooth and creamy.
Refrigerate until serving.

I used tahini instead of the sesame seeds. The jalapenos and cilantro add a delicious kick! - 4/14/11
