Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped Green Peppers (bell peppers), 0.5 cup, chopped Celery, .25 cup, chopped Garlic, 3 cloves, mincedCanola Oil, 4 1tsp White Rice, long grain, 1 cup Water, tap, 5 cup (8 fl oz) Beans, great northern, 2 cup Cilantro, dried, 1 tbsp Ground tumeric, .20 tbsp Pepper, red or cayenne, .25 tsp Seasoning, Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning, .25 tsp Salt, .5 tsp
Saute onion, green peper, garlic and celery in oil until onion is translucent. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil and then reduce heat to keep it at a simmer. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, especially towards the end to keep rice from sticking. Add more water if necessary.
