Slow Cooker Peppery Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
1 lb or 2 1/4 cup split peas2 cups cubed ham1 cup chopped carrots5 cloves chopped garlic cloves1 small chopped onion2 bay leaves1/2 teaspoon of black pepper1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper2 cups of vegetable stock3 cups boiling water
Directions
Add ingredients to slow cooker in order. Do not stir.
Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.

Remove bay leaf and discard.

Stir soup and serve.
