Steamed Golden Syrup pudding

Ingredients
80ml Golden Syrup175g Self raising flour75g butterzest of 1 lemonpinch of salt1 egg100ml milk
Directions
Grease a 1 litre pudding basin and pour goloden syrup into the bottom.

Sieve flour into a bowl then add the butter, sugar, lemon zest and salt. Rub together until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. This can be done in a food processor.

Place egg in a seperate bowl and whisk until smooth, then add milk and whisk to combine.

Pour egg mixture into flour mixture and beat well for approximately 10 minutes.

Pour mixture into the pudding basin and cover.

place in a large saucepan of simmering water, cook for 1 1/2 hours.
