simple tomato basil soup

Ingredients
1- 28 oz can crushed tomatoes1-14 oz can diced tomatoes1 -14 oz can diced tomatoes (no salt)4 cups reduced sodium tomato juice14 oz. Chicken broth (no MSG, reduced sodium, no fat)4 cloves garlic. chopped20 basil leaves chopped3 tbs. butter
Directions
mix tomatoes, juice and broth together in a large pot. Add chopped garlic and about a Tbs of the basil, and butter. Add salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 min. Add remaining basil and blend in blender in small batches, or with a hand blender until mostly smooth. Enjoy.

Things to add. you can add a little sugar if you like it sweeter, or Tobasco if you like it hotter, cream or milk if you want creamier. Add rice, quinoa, or farro for another change.
