Lemon Simple Syrup

Ingredients
1 c water2.5 c sugar1/2 lemon, juiced
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a 2-quart heave-bottomed saucepan over medium high heat and bring to a boil. After all of the sugar crystals disolve, remove from heat and pour into a clean medium-sized bowl. Let cool completely before using.

Stored in the refrigerator, it can be kept indefinitely in an airtight container.
