Crock pot chili

Ingredients
24 oz. ground round1/2 large onion, chopped2 large cans dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsedone large can tomato pureetwo large cans petite diced tomatoes3 tbs. chili powder1 tsp crushed red pepper (or more to taste)1 tsp coarse Kosher salt (or more to taste)
Directions
brown meat and onion together in a large skillet. Add to crock pot along with the other ingredients and spices. Cook on low for 8 hours or more if time permits. Serve piping hot with crackers, chopped onions, or cheese (but be sure to add the calories!).
