Yummy Pumpkin Soup

Ingredients
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) Butter1 small Onion chopped1 clove Garlic2 tsp. Brown Sugar1 can (14 1/2 oz) Chicken Broth1/2 c. Water1/2 tsp. Salt (optional)1/4 tsp. Ground Black Pepper1 can (15 oz) Pure Pumpkin (not pie mix) or 15 oz of cubed or pureed Fresh cooked Pumpkin1 can (12 oz) Evaporated Milk1/8 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
Directions
Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and brown sugar. Cook for 5 minutes, or until soft. Add chicken broth, water, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low/medium low, cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in pumpkin, evaporated milk, and cinnamon. Bring to a slow boil, stirring occasionally. Cook for 5-10 more minutes.

Transfer to food processor or blender (in batches, if necessary) and process until smooth. Return to saucepan.
Serve Warm
