Ingredients
2 cups Dal (red lentils), raw6 small red potatoes, raw, chunks6 cups water1-2 teaspoons sea salt3 large tomatoes, chunks, or 1 can diced tomatoes1/2 teaspoon cayenne, ground1 teaspoon tumeric, ground3 teaspoons Garam Masala1-1/2 teaspoons sugar
Directions
Stovetop version:
Simmer dal, potatoes, water, and salt for 1 hr.
Add remaining ingredients; simmer 20-30 minutes.

Crockpot version:
Add all ingredients to pot.
Cook 8-10 hrs. on low.

Serve alone or over brown rice.
