Unbaked 9-inch pie shell1 large egg, slightly beaten1 cup pumpkin puree1/3 cup sugar1 Tbsp milk1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice2 large eggs, slightly beaten2/3 cup light corn syrup¼ cup brown sugar2 tbsp milk1 tbsp butter, melted½ tsp vanilla1 cup chopped pecans
Pumpkin Layer:
Combine 1 egg, pumpkin, 1/3 cup sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
Spread gently over bottom of unbaked pie shell.
Pecan Layer:
Combine 2 eggs, corn syrup, 1/2 cup sugar, milk, butter and vanilla.
Stir in pecans.
Pour carefully over pumpkin layer in pie shell.
Bake in 375-degree F oven for 50 minutes.

This recipe needs to be edited. In the list of ingredients it calls for pumpkin pie spice but in the directions it tells you to mix in the cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
It also calls for 1/4 cup brown sugar in the ingredients but in the directions for the pecan layer it states 1/2 cup sugar. - 11/10/13
