Easy Chicken Cacciatore

1 lb of boneless, skinless chicken breast cut in bite size pieces1 tsp extra virgin olive oil1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes 1 4oz can of sliced mushrooms1/4 cup fresh, chopped green onions3/4 tsp garlic salt1 tsp dried oregano1/2 tsp black pepper
Using a 10" skillet, lightly brown chicken pieces in oil over medium heat. Remove browned chicken from the pot.
In the sam pan, cook the green onions until tender. Add tomatoes and mushrooms and remaining ingredients stirring to blend.
Return chicken pieces to pan and simmer covered for 30-40 minutes.
