1 lbs ground beef 1 cup chopped onion 1 cup chopped green pepper 0.5 cup chopped celery 1 cup shredded carrots 1.5 cups rice 4 tbsp ketchup salt and pepper to taste head of cabbagetomato sauceV8 vegetable juice (I use spicy hot )
boil head of cabbage in lightly salted water,until half way done, cool, peel leaves of cabbage and reserve. mix ground beef with onions, celery, green pepper, carrots ,rice, ketchup and season with salt and pepper to taste. mold the mixture in small balls(somewhere in between golf and baseball size) and wrap in cabbage leaf. cut leftover cabbage in strips, put on bottom of slow cooker , place cabbage roll on top. combine V8 and tomato sauce, season to taste. pour on top of cabbage rolls. cook for about 5 hrs or until done.
