*moong dal, 1 cup (remove)*onion (brown) raw, peeled 1 medium (100g), 100 gram(s) (remove)Garlic, 3 cloves (remove)Ginger Root, 2 tsp (remove)Turmeric, ground, 0.5 tsp (remove)*Garam Masala, 1 tsp (remove)*Cumin seed, 1 tsp (remove)Mustard seed, yellow, 1 tsp (remove)*Margarine, Nuttelex Original, 50 gram(s) (remove)Tomato, grape (3oz = appro 12 tomatoes), 12 oz (remove)Lemon juice, 0.5 tbsp (remove)Salt, 1 tsp (remove)Cinnamon, ground, 0.25 tsp (remove)
Soak lentils for several hours, drain, top up with water and set to boil for approx 30 mins.
Fry the onion in the nuttelex, adding the garlic and ginger as it starts to brown.
Make a curry mud from the turmeric, garam masala, and ground coriander seed. Add to fry pan and gently fry for a few minutes.
Add the cumin and mustard seeds and the curry leaves. Cook gently until the cumin seeds start to brown.
Add the tomato and turn up the heat slightly. Cook for a couple of mins.
Add the contents of the fry pan to the lentils. Also add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 mins until smooth.
