AM's Tomato Sauce (meatball recipe separate but required)

Ingredients
Directions
Tomato Sauce, 25 cup (2 large 100 oz cans)Tomato Paste, 3 cup (3 small cans)Olive Oil, .25 cupGarlic, 4 cloveOnions, raw, 3 cup, choppedFresh Basil- branch :-)Salt and pepper to taste
Heat a large heavy bottomed pot
Add Olive oil and heat.
Add onion and garlic and saute for a few mins.
Add some of the tomato sauce. Use hand blender to puree contents of pot (or chop small if you dont mind pieces.
Add remaining sauce and puree
prepare meatballs and pre bake a little. finish cooking in sauce for 30 mins at end.
Season with salt and pepper.
Take out sauce required for that days dinner and simmer with Basil for 10 mins or so.
Stir constantly and let simmer for 2-3 hours
Serving Size: ~20 1/4-1/2 cup
