Ingredients
1 3/4 cup whole wheat flour2 T brown sugar2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp baking soda1/4 salt1 egg, slightly beaten1 1/2 cup buttermilk1/2 c applesauce
Directions
In a large bowl stir dry ingredients together. In another bowl use fork to stir egg, buttermilk and applesauce together. Pour all at once into the flour mixture. Stir with spoon/spatula just until moistened.
Don't over mix. Heat griddle to 350 degrees. Spray with Pan or coat with butter. Pour 1/8 to 1/4 cup batter on the griddle. Spread out a little. Cook for about a minute and flip and cook to desired doneness. I like to top my pancakes with pureed peaches with just a little powdered sugar sprinkled on top. These are yummy. My kids loved them.
