Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

2 medium carrots, sliced2 ribs celery, sliced1 cup quartered mushrooms3 T. butter3 1/2 cups chicken broth1 tsp dried parsley3/4 tsp ground black pepper1 tsp thyme1/8 tsp ground cloves1/2 tsp paprika24 oz. chicken breasts, chopped3/4 cup cooked wild rice1 1/2 cups half-and-half
In a large saucepan cook carrots, celery, and mushrooms in butter over medium heat until tender.
Add chicken broth, parsley, black pepper, salt, thyme, cloves, paprika, chicken, and wild rice. Cook and stir until bubbly and slightly thickened. Stir in the half-and-half and heat through.
Serving Size: Makes (8) 1 cup servings
