Slow Cooker Ham and Pea Soup

Ingredients
1 cup dried peas5 cups Swanson's Natural Goodness Chicken Broth1 cup baby carrots, sliced1 1/2 cups ham cubed, fat removed1 packet ham soup baseDried thyme, a sprinkle1 small bay leafMinced Garlic, a sprinklePepper, to taste
Directions
Spray 3 qt. crockpot with cooking spray. I used 3/4 of a 1 lb. bag of dried peas (sorted and rinsed). Put broth in first then the rest of the ingredients. After 8-10 hours taste to make sure its spiced enough, you may have to add a little more thyme as it will disolves after that amount of cooking time. If you like your soup thicker, mash some of the soup in the slow cooker and stir. The mashed peas will help thicken the soup.
