Quick Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
Directions
1/2 cup chopped onion2 tsp garlic1 tsp canola oil16 oz pkg frozen peas2 cups chicken broth1/2 cup water1/2 cup plain fat free yogurtsalt and pepper to taste
1 - Saute onion and garlic in 1 tsp canola oil until onion becomes translucent. Add a little of the chicken broth if needed.
2 - Add frozen peas and broth and water. Bring to a boil Reduce heat and simmer 8-10 minutes.
3. - Puree with immersion blender or, alternately puree in batches in a blender
4 - Add yogurt and simmer 5-10 minutes until yogurt is fully incorporated.
5 - Season with salt and pepper
