Basmati Rice with Cumin and Peas

1 Cup basmati rice2 tsp cumin seeds3 whole cloves2 dry bay leaves.5 Cup frozen peas1 Tbsp olive oil2 Cup water (just less than)
1. toast spices and bay leaves in oil.
2. add rice and toast while stirring for 2 minutes.
3. add water and peas.
4. bring to a boil.
5. cover and cook on low for 20 minutes.
6. turn off heat. fluff rice with a fork. cover and let rest for 5-10 minutes.
Serving Size: makes 4 3/4-Cup servings
