Ragoût de Calamars à la Tomate

450 grams Calamari1 lg onion4 tomatoes2tbs olive oil1 can tomato paste2 bay leaves3 cloves garlic
Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Cut the tomatoes in 4.
Clean and dry the calamari (I use frozen). Heat the olive oil and cook them for a couple of minutes.
Add the tomatoes, the onion, garlic, the bay leaves, the tomato paste and salt and pepper.
You can add a bit of water if it seems too thick. Let it boil then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Can be served with rice or pasta (but then not low-carb!)
