Tomato Black Bean Soup

Ingredients
One medium onion, diced1/2 jalapeno pepper, diced1 tsp garlic powder2 15 oz cans of black beans drained and rinsed1 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes3 cups of chicken broth1 tbsp ground cumin2 tbsp chili powder1 tbsp olive oil4 tbsp of chopped cilantro salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Over medium heat, saute onion and jalapeno in the olive oil until tender. Add garlic powder, cumin, and chili powder and saute for one minute. Add crushed tomatoes, black beans, chicken stock, cilantro, salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes. Blend in a blender, food processor, or with an immersion blender.
